Working while you travel is a great way of funding your trips, and if you teach English abroad it is also very exciting and rewarding.

We have some wonderful holidays on this site and we’re always on the look out for ways to make them affordable to everyone. There are other jobs you can do but learning how to teach English abroad is a useful skill and a life changing opportunity, and will look very good on your CV.

It is not difficult for an educated native speaker to become qualified to teach English abroad. You have already done the difficult bit by learning the language. Your next job is simply to learn how to teach it to others. This is a skill that you can learn, and it improves with practice.

The courses on this page are a mixture of on line and classroom based study. The more you study, the more you will learn and the more valuable your qualification will be.

There are online training courses based at centres all over the UK from Plymouth to Inverness so there is bound to be one within reach of you. The fact that you can do a lot of the work on line makes it convenient if you need to keep working while you learn.

There are also many short extra courses to improve your basic skills such as teaching 1 to 1, or teaching with limited resources.

You can book a consultation with an expert to get all your questions answered before you pay your money. After qualifying there is expert help in finding exciting international teaching jobs.

Teaching English as a foreign language will help you pay for your adventure travels all over the world.

That’s all the hard information, but why should you do it?

Quite simply the experience of living and working in a country that interests you is like no other. You are not an observer passing through but a member of that community and by being part of it you understand it in a way that no tourist ever can.

You’ll have time to learn the language, and really communicate with the locals and understand how they think. When you know the language, a trip to the local market, and other day-to-day activities, become much more interesting things to do.

Once you are resident in a country you can make friends. Nothing helps you get to know a place better than having friends who can tell you about all the special places that only a local can know.

While you are there you will have the chance to travel to nearby places, and neighbouring regions and countries. The opportunity for adventure travel is right on your doorstep and you are getting paid too!

There are lots of reasons for combining your adventure travel dreams with work, and teaching English overseas is certainly the way forward.

It would be great to think the adventuretravelshop helped get you started. Let us know how you get on.
